2019-06-24add ctype.h headerJoel Kitching
Sometimes coreboot needs to compile external code (e.g. vboot_reference) using its own set of system header files. When these headers don't line up with C Standard Library, it causes problems. Create ctype.h header file. Relocate ctype.h functions from string.h into ctype.h. Update source files which call ctype.h functions accordingly. Note that ctype.h still lacks five functions which are not used in coreboot source: isalnum, isalpha, iscntrl, isgraph, ispunct BUG=b:124141368 TEST=make clean && make test-abuild BRANCH=none Change-Id: I31b5e8af49956ec024a392a73c3c9024b9a9c194 Signed-off-by: Joel Kitching <kitching@google.com> Reviewed-on: https://review.coreboot.org/c/coreboot/+/33525 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) <no-reply@coreboot.org> Reviewed-by: Julius Werner <jwerner@chromium.org>

We already do this for lines with all zeroes, so it makes sense to treat all ones the same, for symmetry. 2015-11-21hexdump: Fix output if length is not a multiple of 16Ben Gardner
hexdump currently rounds up length to a multiple of 16. So, hexdump(ptr, 12) prints 16 hex digits, including 4 garbage bytes. That isn't desirable and is easy to fix. 2015-10-31tree: drop last paragraph of GPL copyright headerPatrick Georgi
It encourages users from writing to the FSF without giving an address. Linux also prefers to drop that and their checkpatch.pl (that we imported) looks out for that. This is the result of util/scripts/no-fsf-addresses.sh with no further editing. 2015-05-21Remove address from GPLv2 headersPatrick Georgi
As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons but because there are tools that look for them, and giving them a standard pattern simplifies things. However, we got confirmation that we don't have to update every file ever added to coreboot whenever the FSF gets a new lease, but can drop the address instead. util/kconfig is excluded because that's imported code that we may want to synchronize every now and then. $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 51 Franklin St, Fifth Floor, Boston, *MA[, ]*02110-1301[, ]*USA:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 51 Franklin Street, Suite 500, Boston, MA 02110-1335, USA:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 59 Temple Place[-, ]*Suite 330, Boston, MA *02111-1307[, ]*USA:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -exec sed -i "s:Foundation, Inc., 675 Mass Ave, Cambridge, MA 02139, USA.:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + $ find * -type f -a \! -name \*.patch \ -a \! -name \*_shipped \ -a \! -name LICENSE_GPL \ -a \! -name LGPL.txt \ -a \! -name COPYING \ -a \! -name DISCLAIMER \ -exec sed -i "/Foundation, Inc./ N;s:Foundation, Inc.* USA\.* *:Foundation, Inc. :;s:Foundation, Inc. $:Foundation, Inc.:" {} + Change-Id: Icc968a5a5f3a5df8d32b940f9cdb35350654bef9 Signed-off-by: Patrick Georgi <pgeorgi@chromium.org> Reviewed-on: http://review.coreboot.org/9233 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) Reviewed-by: Vladimir Serbinenko <phcoder@gmail.com>
2014-05-05lib/hexdump: Use `size_t` for length parameter of `hexdump32()`Paul Menzel
In the signature of the function `hexdump32()` it does not make sense to represent a length, assumed to be positive, as a signed integer. With this change, it is no longer necessary to cast a pointer to unsigned long when passing it to `hexdump32()`. The same change for the function `hexdump()` was done in commit 3dd0e72d [1]. lib/hexdump: Take const void * and size_t as arguments [1] http://review.coreboot.org/4575 Change-Id: Id97f5daff95f94e862ee8b5be896a6629b125a13 Signed-off-by: Paul Menzel <paulepanter@users.sourceforge.net> Reviewed-on: http://review.coreboot.org/5646 Tested-by: build bot (Jenkins) Reviewed-by: Patrick Georgi <patrick@georgi-clan.de>

The coding style requires to use tabs for indentation and not spaces. Use GNU indent 2.2.11 with the switch `-linux` to indent the file, which also removes the empty lines at the end of the file.
