2017-05-13mainboard: Add ASRock G41C-GSArthur Heymans
Start-point is Gigabyte GA-G41M-ES2L. This board features a G41 northbridge and an ICH7 southbridge. This board has slots for both DDR2 and DDR3 (cannot run concurrently though) but only DDR2 is implemented in coreboot. The SPI flash resides in a DIP-8 socket. Tested and working: * DDR2 dual channel (PC2 5300 and PC2 6400, though raminit is picky with assymetric dimm setups); * 3,5" IDE; * SATA; * PCIe x16 (with some patches up for review); * Uart, PS2 Keyboard; * USB, ethernet, audio; * Native graphic init; * Fan control; * Reboot, poweroff, S3 resume; * Flashrom (vendor and coreboot). Tested but fails: * DDR3 (not implemented in coreboot). Tests were run with SeaBIOS and Debian sid, using Linux 4.9.0. 2017-03-28AGESA: Introduce AGESA_LEGACY and its counterpartKyösti Mälkki
We define AGESA_LEGACY as an implementation of mainboard that has its romstage main completely under mainboard/ directory. We have learnt from other platforms this approach has several downsides when it comes to making platform-wide improvements. We start by creating per-family romstage.c file, which boards will gradually take into use by removing the AGESA_LEGACY Kconfig option we here apply to all of them. Both DDR2 and DDR3 have been completed TESTED on REACTS: passes all boot tests for 2 boards ASUS KGPE-D16 ASUS KFSN4-DRE Some extra changes were required to make it compile otherwise there were unused functions in included "c" files. 2016-08-17mainboard: Clean up boot_option/reboot_bits in cmos.layoutNico Huber
Since commit 3bfd7cc (drivers/pc80: Rework normal / fallback selector code) the reboot counter stored in `reboot_bits` isn't reset on a reboot with `boot_option = 1` any more. Hence, with SKIP_MAX_REBOOT_CNT_CLEAR enabled, later stages (e.g. payload, OS) have to clear the counter too, when they want to switch to normal boot. So change the bits to (h)ex instead of (r)eserved. To clarify their meaning, rename `reboot_bits` to `reboot_counter`. Also remove all occurences of the obsolete `last_boot` bit that have sneaked in again since 24391321 (mainboard: Remove last_boot NVRAM option). 2015-11-12AMD/Kabini: Fix the interrupt routingZheng Bao
The plugged devices on PCIe should use IOAPIC2 instead of standard IOAPIC1. The entries in IOAPIC2 count from the end of IOAPIC1. The unchanged code worked because the OS uses MSI instead APIC. To test that, boot linux with parameter pci=nomsi and see if the devices like NIC work well as they do without the booting parameter. run 'cat /proc/interrupts' to see if the devices actually use no-msi. The obsolete and removed getpir utility remarked in its output that the data is autogenerated. The tool was removed because it wasn't very reliable, so there's no need to point that anymore. 2015-10-31tree: drop last paragraph of GPL copyright headerPatrick Georgi
It encourages users from writing to the FSF without giving an address. Linux also prefers to drop that and their checkpatch.pl (that we imported) looks out for that. This is the result of util/scripts/no-fsf-addresses.sh with no further editing.
