2018-12-21cpu/amd/geode_lx: Drop supportArthur Heymans
These chips are still using LATE_CBMEM which was agreed upon to be removed after release 4.7. It is now more than 1 year later and they still linger around. The work and review to bring this code up to date can happen on the 4.9 branch and then squashed together and merged back into mainline when done. Its spreading copies got out of sync. And as it is not a standard header but used in commonlib code, it belongs into commonlib. While we are at it, always include it via GCC's `-include` switch. Some Windows and BSD quirk handling went into the util copies. We always guard from redefinitions now to prevent further issues. gcc doesn't like these because they're undefined behavior, so use zeroptr instead. For the loop that just does a number of writes (0..4), use zeroptr + i. Checked the disassembly (AMD_RUMBA and PCENGINES_ALIX2D) to not contain ud2 anymore and to look reasonable where zeroptr was used. As per discussion with lawyers[tm], it's not a good idea to shorten the license header too much - not for legal reasons but because there are tools that look for them, and giving them a standard pattern simplifies things. 2015-01-06northbridge: Drop print_ implementation from non-romcc boardsStefan Reinauer
Because we had no stack on romcc boards, we had a separate, not as powerful clone of printk: print_*. Back in the day, like more than half a decade ago, we migrated a lot of boards to printk, but we never cleaned up the existing code to be consistent. instead, we worked around the problem with a very messy console.h (nowadays the mess is hidden in romstage_console.c and early_print.h) This patch cleans up the northbridge code to use printk() on all non-ROMCC boards. 2008-10-22Changed RAM speed calculation to fix RAM modules getting rejected onlyJens Rottmann
due to integer rounding errors. Previously, the formula was: speed = 2 * (10000/spd_value) For spd_value=60 this means speed = 2 * 166 = 332, which is less than 333 and coreboot died saying RAM was incompatible. The new formula is: speed = 20000 / spd_value For spd_value=60, speed=333, which is fine. Ethernet yet. The fixes are a board-specific fake spd_read_byte, cleaning up comments, and just in general customizing for the 1c. The lxraminit change fixes a bug (&& used instead of ||), adds some debug prints which were VERY useful debugging the alix1c, changes fatal error messages from print_debug to print_emerg, and adds two functions: banner, which just prints out a string with a banner, and hcf, which print an emergency message and then pushes null bytes into the uart forever, just to make sure that no bytes get lost for any reason.
