2019-08-14soc/intel/fsp_broadwell_de: Populate SMBIOS tables with memory informationAndrey Petrov
Add code to read SPD data, parse it and save into SMBIOS table. This is implemented for socketed DDR4 chips only. For soldered-down memory this is not implemented and probably won't be ever needed. TEST=tested on OCP Monolake mainboard, and found dmidecode -t memory to work. The stack has also been tested on an out-of-tree board. 2019-08-14common/block/imc: Add Integrated Memory Controller (IMC) driverAndrey Petrov
IMC is found on certain Xeon processors. On such platforms SPDs are not connected to SMBus on PCH but to dedicated IMC-owned pins. The purpose of this driver is to expose access to the i2c/smbus controller associated with IMC. Datasheet used: Intel Xeon Processor D-1500 Product Family, Volume 2, reference 332051-001 This driver is largely based on i2c-imc.c Linux driver. https://lwn.net/Articles/685475/ TEST=single/double reads and single writes on Xeon-D1500. 2019-08-13soc/intel/fsp_broadwell_de: Enable early integrated UARTAndrey Petrov
In order to use internal UART it needs to 'enabled'. This is normally done by FSP. However sometimes internal UART is needed before FSP is invoked. TEST=check if printk() show up in early romstage. Tested on OCP Monolake. Tested on out-of-tree mainboard to see if UART on LPC still works. 2019-07-01Use 3rdparty/intel-microcodeArthur Heymans
Instead of maintaining this in 3rdparty/blobs use the 3rdparty/intel-microcode which is maintained by Intel. This allows for some finegrained control where family+model span multiple targets. Microcode updates present in 3rdparty/blobs/soc/intel/{baytrail,broadwell} are left out since those contain updates not present in the Intel repo. Those are presumably early CPU samples that did not end up in products. The address bits 19:0 of TSEG_LIMIT read as zero, but are ignored on comparison. The result is that the limit is effectively FFFFFh. Add one MiB to the register value to make TSEG 8MiB instead of 7MiB. Fixes a crash related to SMRR not matching the TSEG region. 2019-01-10Untangle CBFS microcode updatesNico Huber
The option to specify a binary file name was added later for platforms that do not provide microcode updates in our blobs repository. Alas, it wasn't visible what platforms these are. And if you specified a file for a platform that already had one, they were all included together. Make it visible which platforms don't provide binaries with the new con- figs MICROCODE_BLOB_NOT_IN_BLOB_REPO, MICROCODE_BLOB_NOT_HOOKED_UP and MICROCODE_BLOB_UNDISCLOSED. Based on that we can decide if we want to include binaries by default or explicitly show that no files are inclu- ded (default to CPU_MICROCODE_CBFS_NONE). Also split CPU_MICROCODE_CBFS_GENERATE into the more explicit CPU_MICROCODE_CBFS_DEFAULT_BINS and CPU_MICROCODE_CBFS_EXTERNAL_BINS. And clean up the visibility of options: Don't show CBFS related options on platforms that don't support it and don't show external file options if the platform uses special rules for multiple files (CPU_MICROCODE_ MULTIPLE_FILES).
