2016-12-05Omap35xxPkg, BeagleBoardPkg: Use Pcd for INTERRUPT_BASELeif Lindholm
The base address for the interrupt controller is hard-coded in Omap3530Interrupt.h, although Omap35xxPkg/InterruptDxe appears to have initially intended to make use of PcdInterruptBaseAddress from EmbeddedPkg. Move it to use said Pcd, and also declare use of it in BeagleBoardLib, which makes a direct access. LzmaCustomDecompressLib and PeiDxeDebugLibReportStatusCode were copied from IntelFrameworkModulePkg to MdeModulePkg, but the originals were kept for compatibility. Since the libraries are identical, move BeagleBoardPkg to use the MdeModulePkg versions instead. Commit 0bade1054db7 ("BeagleBoardPkg: Replaced the original DSC/FDF files by their new versions that use the ARM Platform Framework"), which dates back to 2011, modified BeagleBoardPkg to replace references to its Sec.inf, Bds.inf and some of its library implementations to refer to versions under ArmPlatformPkg instead. Since the original modules have been unused ever since, we can safely remove them now. Problems have been encountered because some of the source files have execute permission set. This can cause git to report them as changed when they are checked out onto a file system with inherited permissions. This has been seen using Cygwin, MinGW and PowerShell Git. This patch makes no change to source file content, and only aims to correct the file modes/permissions. Since the configuration header never changes unless the board parameters in ConfigurationHeader.dat are updated, we can take a snapshot of the binary and add it to the FDF definition. GCC47 generates bigger binaries in Debug build than GCC46. This large increase is considered as a regression. It will require some investigation to understand the reason of this increase in size. Checking if a core if the primary/boot core used to be done with the macro IS_PRIMARY_CORE(). Some platforms exposes configuration registers to change the primary core. Replacing the macro IS_PRIMARY_CORE() by ArmPlatformIsPrimaryCore() allows some flexibility in the way to check the primary core. The MP ID Register is not enough to know the position of the core in the SoC. We could have SoC with multi cluster of CPUs that do not contain the same number of CPUs.
