Some changes were required to match underlying ctors
as invoked by the templated methods.
Many release() calls go away, a few WrapUniques() are
introduced to avoid going deeper into other code.

When the source bitmap's width and height are large,
the multiplication could easily overflow a signed integer.
Change to use 'long long' type for calculation to avoid that.
